CEU Videofest 2009
Junior Mass Communication students from the College of Education, Liberal Arts and Science (CELAS) in Malolos declared as the Second Runner-Up at the very recent CEU’s 15th Annual Video Festival held at Librada Avelino Auditorium in CEU-Manila last March 3, 2009, with a title of “VideoFest ’09: Reloaded.”
The pride of Liberators bagged the trophies as they won the bronze award for this year’s VideoFest and a major award for Best TV Production for the Documentary ‘Mahabe Pagotan: Dilim sa Minanang Paraiso.’
‘FEEL-lipinas: Feel na Feel ang ‘Pinas,’ which features the beauty of Puerto Galera won 2nd runner-up for Feature category, while the Mahabe Pagotan team grabbed the 1st runner-up spot for TV Documentary.
‘HEED’ and ‘Mahabe Pagotan’ snatched the place for being the Most Value-Oriented Show for both category of Talk show and Documentary, respectively.
For the individual awards, Dainty Perez proclaimed as the First runner-up for News Anchorperson, while Jenny Masangcay and Kim Joyce Baking hailed as the Best Documentary Hosts.
On the other hand, Kim Joyce Baking grabbed the slot for being the Best Director for the documentary ‘Mahabe Pagotan.’
Best Videography and Best Concept were also included to the lists of awards that received by the documentary of Borj Production that tackles about the Sierra Madre and its indigenous people.
The third year ABMC group did not expect that they would possibly get the Bronze trophy after all what happened before the awarding day. In fact, they did not assume that each category would bring home an award, wherein they really proud of. Each production composed of only four people and that made them proud of saying they made it to the top.
